Being on vacation doesn’t have to mean a break from your fitness routine. With miles of walking trails, yoga studio, and fully equipped gyms, LaGrange has everything you need to stay active during your stay!

The Thread

The Thread is a 12-foot wide path designed for walking, running, and biking through LaGrange. It is an ongoing project with new sections added every year and there are currently over 5 miles of completed paths. The Thread is a non-motorized, multi-purpose trail designed to increase the health and wellness of the community by providing a safe environment for fitness and recreation.

The Thread won’t just help you get your exercise; it will wind you through beautiful LaGrange College Campus and past historic downtown homes and Price Theater! Locals love to watch beautiful Georgia sunsets while walking The Thread.

The Thread winds around Granger park, a perfect place to stop and let your children play. The Granger park loop, 1.5 miles, is perfect for those who prefer loop trails or who want to run while family members play. For track runners, there’s a track within the Granger park loop.

Pack your bike or running shoes and do some of your LaGrange sightseeing while staying fit!

Towne Fitness Center

Towne Fitness Club offers daily rates and childcare, making it the perfect place for vacation fitness.

They offer 55 classes each week: Body Pump, Yoga, Pilates, Indoor Spin Classes, and much more. They also have a weight room and standard gym equipment which includes treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, and balance trainers. Towne Fitness also offers locker rooms with showers, a steam room, sauna, and tanning beds.

The daily rate for facilities is $10 and a single class is $10. Check their website for childcare hours. Towne Fitness makes it easy to keep your gym habit when you’re away from home!

Inner Path Yoga and Fitness

Visiting yogis can get their yoga fix while in LaGrange. Inner Path Yoga and Fitness offers traditional yoga styles as well as yoga-inspired fitness and high-intensity classes. Local yogis love to meet visiting students and you’re sure to receive smiles and make new friends.

Find your favorite type of yoga on their schedule or vary your practice with something new. Never practiced yoga? Vacation is the perfect time to try!

Relax your mind and move your body in one of Inner Path’s classes including Vinyasa, Gentle Flow, and Restorative Yoga. They even offer Tabata interval training, if you’re in the mood for something high-intensity. They also offer classes appropriate for seniors.

Your first class at Inner Path is free, and the drop-in rate is $10. The owner and staff are welcoming and will help you choose the perfect class for your experience and energy level. Check their online schedule for up-to-date weekly classes.
