After checking into Pine Mountain Resort and settling into your yurt for your nights of glamping, you’ll be ready to begin your adventures! Bring your hiking gear to West Point Lakeside Trail to begin a 6.4-mile hike. Enjoy your immersion in Georgia’s beautiful lakeside forest; watch carefully and you may catch a glimpse of the wildlife that live on and around the lake. By the time you finish the hike, you’ll be ready for a big meal at Beacon Brewing. Beacon’s adventurous, experimental beers and unique fusion of Southern and Asian cuisine will be a post-hike delight! At dark, you’ll find yourself back at West Point Lake, fishing from a pier (or simply relaxing by the lake, if that’s more your style).
Your intimate yurt at Pine Mountain RV Resort will be climate controlled, with wooden floors and comfortable beds, so you’ll be well-rested for all your adventures! Spend your nights gazing at the starry night sky through your yurt’s skylight!
Beacon Brewing Co. is located in the historic Hillside area of LaGrange, Georgia and draws inspiration from traditional Belgian and Bavarian style beers. Each craft beer has a distinct flavor and a name that stems from historical significance of the area. Their menu is a surprising and delicious fusion of Asian and Southern cuisine!
After dark, bring your lantern and fishing gear to McGee Bridge Park or Rocky Point Recreation Area. Both parks have covered piers perfect for night fishing, star gazing or simply relaxing in the cool night air. Whether or not you fish, it’s a perfect way to end the day in LaGrange!

WATER ADVENTURES

ON WEST POINT LAKE

Bring your swimsuit, hat and sunscreen for your big water adventure! There are two options for your water adventure: West Point Lake or the Chattahoochee River. For a lake adventure, head to Highland Pines Resort and Marina and rent a kayak, hydrobike or stand-up paddle board. Take a leisurely cruise across the lake, chatting and watching for wildlife in one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. If you choose the river option, stop at GLL Outdoors in West Point for all-inclusive rentals of a single or double kayak and all the necessary gear. Your trip will begin just below West Point Dam; you’ll paddle smooth water for a couple of hours while enjoying luscious West Georgia scenery!
Take a leisurely ride downtown with bike rentals from Goldens Bike Shop. With short and long-term rentals available, you’ll find exactly the bike you need for your excursion. There are many interesting things to see in LaGrange’s historic downtown area. As an added bonus, venture on your bike to nearby Broad and Vernon Streets to see some of the oldest homes in LaGrange, several of which pre-date the Civil War. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, stop at one of downtown’s great restaurants for a delicious meal. You’ll feel perfectly comfortable in your athletic apparel at some of LaGrange’s favorite casual restaurants.
Before you return your bikes, stop by Wild Leap Brew Co. to celebrate and toast your adventures with delicious locally-crafted beers or vodka! Since opening in 2017, Wild Leap has gained notoriety in Georgia, seeing tremendous growth in its first few years. Celebrating countless releases of creative and easy-drinking craft beers, Wild Leap was voted America’s Best New Brewery in 2019 by USA Today. There’s no better place to end your adventures than at Wild Leap, sampling and enjoying locally-crafted brews and cocktails!
