As far as music destinations go, LaGrange may not be the first to come to mind but maybe you should take a second look. If there is any particular weekend to check out tunes in Troup County, June 2nd-4th is the weekend for you.

Did you say Great Wolf?
With endless attractions and various levels of intensity on their rides, there is something to keep everyone entertained. Choose from the various lodging options on-site and make a full weekend of it (also a great strategy for sneaking in a waterslide between your concert schedule).
See someone new
Check out Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter, Heather Maloney, at 7:30 PM at Pure Life House of Music. Maloney has an impressive rap sheet to her name. She has opened for well-known artists like Lake Street Dive, Shakey Graves, Gary Clark Jr. and others. Watch her play new tracks off of her album “Soil in The Sky” coming out June 14th. Still not interested? The New York Times called her music “utterly gorgeous,” we’d say that’s worth checking out for yourself.
Need a souvenir? Check out a few of the local shops in town. Ye Old Red Door Antiques is open on Saturday until 5 and is regularly changing its inventory. It is the perfect place to explore with plenty of one-of-a-kind items to look at. How about a milkshake while you shop? The Medicine Cabinet is a LaGrange classic and just happens to also serve up old-fashioned sundaes and milkshakes like the good ole days. It is the perfect way to keep kids entertained while you get to peruse the wonderful local selection in the gift shop. Pro tip: the Medicine Cabinet closes at 2 on Saturdays so don’t wait too late to check it out!
Come on and slam if you wanna jam!
Wing Jam is reason enough to come to LaGrange this weekend. Rain or shine, Wing Jam will be happening. With live music to keep your music streak thriving, hang out on Wild Leap’s patio and try a variety of wings (and even vegan options if meat isn’t your thing). They'll be serving up one-day-only special edition beers, cocktails, and slushies, but don’t worry, the event is for the whole family! Entry is free and all ages are welcome.
Bryan Elijah Smith and Leon Majcen at Pure Life
Still haven't gotten your music fix? Stay for a beer or two at Wing Jam then mosey your way over to Pure Life House of Music and check out duo Bryan Elijah Smith and Leon Majcen. The pair will be playing from 7:30 to 9:30 (doors open at 7!), and share the stage playing original pieces and cover tunes – the perfect way to close out a music-filled weekend.
