Happy Hour at Nutwood Winery
If you can leave work early and arrive in LaGrange with time to spare, head to Nutwood Winery and grab a glass of local wine before heading to Sweetland. Enjoy an appetizer of specialty meats and cheeses to hold you over and enjoy the picturesque views of the winery. The 200-year-old pecan trees on the property are the perfect backdrop to a Friday happy hour.
Old Crow Medicine Show Concert
After 20 years of touring, 2 Grammy awards, and an induction to the Grand Ole Opry, Old Crow Medicine Show will be spending June 10th in LaGrange. Starting at 8 pm, the band will make their presence felt on stage at Sweetland Amphitheater. Originally from Harrisonburg, VA, Old Crow Medicine Show has an Americana sound that can’t be matched. Does Wagon Wheel ring a bell? Imagine hearing it live...We can’t think of a better way to spend a summer Friday night.
Finish with a nightcap
After a fun night out, why not wind down with a nightcap? LaGrange has some awesome spots to grab a drink with friends, but Wild Leap is a can't miss venue. Open until 11 on weekends, Wild Leap offers exciting craft beverages for a variety of tastes. For the classic bar experience, check out the Main Street Pub!

One of the best ways to enjoy LaGrange and certainly a local favorite is The Thread -- a walking, running, and biking path that winds through LaGrange. Take your time in exploring the different parts of The Thread, seeing beautiful neighborhoods, historic homes and lush green spaces along the way. Enjoy a stroll with friends or take your little ones to ride their bike or scooter. Enjoy a slow Sunday and grab a coffee, and a homemade pastry of course, at Local Groundz, located conveniently on The Thread.
Let's do brunch
Sunday is the perfect day to try out local brewery and restaurant, Beacon. Whether you would rather grab brunch with friends after your morning stroll on the Thread or enjoy the live music during happy hour from 4-7, Beacon makes sure your Sunday won’t be boring. Be sure to come hungry and ask the staff about daily specials and their brewed-in-house beers.
Sunday Sounds
You started the weekend with live music so why not end it that way too? Spend your Sunday evening with Kim Richey at Pure Life House of Music. A country singer-songwriter, Richey first came onto the music scene in the 1990s. While her name may not be immediately familiar to you, her songs probably are. Richey has written hits for Trisha Yearwood (“Believe Me Baby (I Lied)”), Radney Foster (“Nobody Wins”), and Brooks & Dunn (“Every River”). Tickets start at $25 for this amazing show.
