The oldest private college in Georgia, LaGrange College boasts nearly 200 years of history in architecture old and new, beautiful landscaping and the best vantage point in LaGrange from its location on "The Hill." To visit campus, park at the corner of Broad Street and Park Avenue and head up the hill!
Once the centerpiece of a 1,200-acre plantation estate, Bellevue is now situated amongst residential areas just a few blocks from downtown. Learn the history of this historic home as you admire the ornate decor and stunning Greek Revival style exterior.
Enjoy fresh air and exercise at LaGrange’s urban park. Southbend is a beautifully designed park complete with huge playgrounds, a dog park and skatepark. The park has a pavilion and plenty of seating and green space. It’s a wonderful place for a picnic, so order takeout from a downtown spot and enjoy it while you explore the park!
Take a walk in downtown LaGrange, exploring an eclectic blend of history and new growth. The downtown area offers antique and gift shops as well as local restaurants. Be sure to walk the square and see the fountain and statue of American Revolutionary War hero Marquis de LaFayette. While you explore the downtown area, you’ll easily find a lunch meal that won’t break the bank.
Located among shops and restaurants in downtown LaGrange, Legacy Museum on Main features the history and development of West Georgia. Items range from ancient artifacts to more "recent" historic artifacts from LaGrange’s rich textile and railroad history. While you’re there, be sure to check out the world’s oldest cotton bale!

The LaGrange Art Museum is housed in an iconic 1892 jail building and is filled with dynamic exhibitions by renowned and local artists. Collections of high-caliber and visually-tantalizing artwork fill the galleries, making the museum a treat for visitors. Give yourself plenty of time to explore this multilevel museum!
