On day one in LaGrange, you can tour a historic home and garden, explore a free art museum housed in an antebellum jail, and sip some delicious craft beer from a local brewery known for it’s unique flavor! Round out your day with some live music at Nutwood Winery, well-known for it’s incredible varieties of white and red, as well as specialty wines. Live music is hosted every Friday and Saturday night, and the food menu ensures you can enjoy a few glasses paired with conversation and superb views.
Tucked away in the historic Hillside neighborhood of LaGrange, Beacon Brewing Co. has an extraordinary story and aims to create craft beer just as extraordinary. The brewery specializes in experimental beers and draws inspiration from traditional Belgian and Bavarian styles. The intriguing tap list pairs perfectly with the delicious fusion of Asian and Southern cuisine you’ll find on the menu.
Completed in 1916, Hills & Dales Estate features a 13,000 square-foot home accompanied by a stunning, well-kept garden. Immerse yourself in the enticing story of the generations that called this beautiful place home. A guide will lead you through each room of the house and then on to the expansive gardens that yield blooms year-round.
The LaGrange Art Museum is housed in an iconic 1892 jail building and is filled with dynamic exhibitions by renowned and local artists. Collections of high caliber and visually-tantalizing artwork fills the galleries, making the museum a treat for visitors. Give yourself plenty of time to explore this multilevel museum!
Enjoy a mountain biking adventure on 11+ miles of single-track trails. With great views of West Point Lake, Lakeside Trails has several sections tailored to various difficulty levels from easy to moderately difficult. The trails are interconnected and well-marked to provide an invigorating, exciting ride! Pro Tip: Local cycling shop, Golden’s Bikes, rents mountain bikes!

Set out downstream for a paddle down the Chattahoochee River. Positioned on the bank of the river and nearby downtown West Point, Georgia, GLL Outdoors is the one-stop-shop for your kayaking adventures. The all-inclusive rental provides you with life jackets, paddles, and the option of a single or double kayak. The trip begins just below West Point Dam. Paddle for a couple of hours on the smoothly flowing water while enjoying the luscious scenery of West Georgia.
